Monument Group Announces Five Promotions Across Global Offices

BOSTON – January 10, 2022 – Monument Group, one of the industry’s leading global placement agents, today announced the promotions of five individuals across the firm’s global offices, effective January 1, 2022. In Boston, Thomas Durkin has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Stephen Day to Vice President and Alexandra Talerman to Vice President.  In the firm’s London office, Zac Williams has been promoted to Managing Director, and in Hong Kong, Albert Jun has been named a Partner.

Tom Durkin joined Monument Group in 2019 and has investor coverage responsibility in the US. Before joining Monument Group, Tom worked at Brooklands Capital Strategies as a Senior Associate, responsible for executing capital fundraises for alternative asset managers covering private equity, hedge fund, private credit and real asset strategies. Tom received his BA in International Studies from Middlebury College with concentrations in Political Science and French.

 Stephen Day joined Monument Group in the Boston office in 2017 where he is a member of the firm’s analytics team. Before joining Monument Group, Stephen worked at Cambridge Associates as an Investment Associate in the Credit Investment Group where he was responsible for long-only fixed income research on a global basis. Stephen received his BA in Psychology and Economics from Colgate University.

Alexandra (Ali) Talerman joined Monument Group in 2016 and is a member of the firm’s analytics team. Ali was previously at Deloitte, where she served as a tax consultant in the investment management practice. Ali received her BSBA cum laude in Accountancy from the University of Richmond.

Zac Williams began his professional career at Monument Group, joining the firm in 2009. He serves on the firm’s analytics team. Zac has a first class BA (Hons) in Economics from Cambridge University.

Albert Jun joined Monument Group in 2015 and has investor coverage responsibility in Korea and broader Asia. Before joining Monument Group, Albert worked at NH Investment & Securities in Korea, where he was a Vice President and Team Leader of the Fund Placement Division. Prior to that, Albert was with Shinbo Venture Capital in Korea, where he was responsible for venture start-up investment. Albert received a BE in Computer Engineering from the University of New South Wales and an MBA from INSEAD.
