Altor, a leading Nordic-based private equity firm, has held the final closing of Altor Fund VI (the “Fund” or “Fund VI”) at its hard cap of €3 billion, which makes it Altor’s largest fund ever raised. As with prior funds, Fund VI will continue its focused strategy of investing in mid‐market companies in the Nordic and DACH region, with an increased focus on green transition investments.
Monument Group, who acted as exclusive placement agent commented, “Each Altor fundraising has a distinctive story – but always with a successful ending. For Fund VI, Altor rose brilliantly to the challenges of an increasingly crowded and competitive fundraising market and ensured that they were able to impress investors with their superb track record of high-multiple exited investments, their high-achieving firm culture and their burgeoning impact credentials. As a result, they have hit their hard-cap, comfortably exceeding their predecessor fund size.”
The Altor funds have secured strong support from leading international institutional investors who share Altor’s perspective on value creation. They include leading pension funds, endowments and foundations, family offices, and asset managers.
Fund VI is already off to a good start, having made eight investments accounting for more than 1/3rd of committed capital. Fund VI has a flexible investment mandate, allowing Altor to continue broadening its investments across new opportunity areas.
In total, Monument Group has now assisted Altor with raising €11.3 billion for all of their funds: Altor 2003 Fund, Altor Fund II (2006), Altor Fund III (2008), Altor Fund IV (2014), Altor Fund V (2019), and Altor Fund VI (2023).
